GTA entrepreneur Harpreet Sethi recently donated $10,000 to the CTV Toy Mountain campaign.
"It’s the holiday season, it’s the spirit of giving," said Sethi, who made the donation on behalf of himself, his wife, Ginni, and his children, Prince and Priya. "If this small amount can bring a smile to the faces of a thousand children, I am delighted to give it.”
It"s not the first significant charitable donation made by the former Mississauga resident and owner of the Radisson Plaza Hotel and Black Diamond Entertainments: In 2007, Sethi donated $500,000 to Brampton"s William Osler Hospital, and has also contributed to other notable causes such as the Canadian National Institute for the Blind.
This year’s Toy Mountain toy goal is 150,000 toys for disadvantaged children living the GTA. Members of the public are asked to donate a new, unwrapped toy to one of the official toy drop-off locations.
